HHC – Hexahydrocannabinol
Are you one of the many cannabinoid consumers searching for a helpful CBD alternative? If you are, perhaps you’ve been reading about a compound called HHC.
Hexahydrocannabinol (HHC) is a cannabinoid used much like CBD, and more CBD customers seem to be making the switch. If this product interests you, you’re in luck because the Shaman Rec Room team is here to help you learn more (and purchase HHC-infused products.)
Background into HHC
You may be wondering, “what is HHC?” Hexahydrocannabinol is one of over 100 cannabinoids. Cannabinoids are naturally-occurring compounds found in cannabis and hemp plants that interact with the human body’s endocannabinoid system.
While the most commonly known cannabinoid, delta-9-tetrahydrocannabinol (THC), is currently illegal at the federal level, there are other cannabinoids, such as Delta-8 THC and cannabidiol (CBD), which are available for legal purchase and are advertised as capable of helping with a variety of issues, such as discomfort and difficulty sleeping.
HHC is another compound quickly gaining popularity. Many claim it provides comfort in a similar manner to CBD products, without some of the side effects.
If you have enjoyed other cannabinoids and would like to try something new, or even if you have never tried any THC before but are intrigued by these descriptions, Shaman Rec Room carries a variety of HHC products that can help you out.
Effects of HHC
You may also be wondering, “what does HHC do?” Consumers have reported various positive effects caused by consuming HHC. CFAH.org compares it to Delta-9 THC in that it has psychoactive properties.
HHC has been reported to offer a kind of “high” to the user, and users have described feeling “unbelievably smooth” and “clear-headed” when using HHC. If this is the kind of effect you’re hoping to achieve, the Shaman Rec Room team is here to serve and please.
The Legality of HHC
At this point, you might be wondering: is HHC legal?
In 2018, Congress passed the Farm Bill. The Farm Bill made the hemp plant and all of its derivatives legal on a federal level. There are, however, many exceptions to this rule.
For instance, if a plant or any of that plant’s derivatives contain(s) a concentration of Delta-9 THC that is higher than 0.3 percent, selling or purchasing that plant or derivative is illegal. Although HHC and THC are different chemicals, there stands a chance that HHC’s legal status may change in the future.
HHC develops organically in cannabis plants, but the HHC you can find in stores doesn’t come from plants. Commercial HHC is made in a lab, which means it is a “semi-synthetic” cannabis compound.
This designation leaves the possibility that the Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) could at some point determine it illegal. It’s also possible that individual states will ban the sale of HHC. However, for the time being, HHC products are legal and available for purchase online.
There are currently many different types of HHC products. All of the following examples are available for purchase online from Shaman Rec Room. Depending on the amount of HHC you’d like and the form you’d like it to come in, there are various options available, such as:
